“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.” (James 1:17, NKJV)

Since God is good, we do not need any other person (including Satan) to meet our needs. Christ’s experience in the wilderness or Gethsemane, among other things, reminds us that it is better to be hungry (in the will of God) than full (outside the will of God). Once we start doubting God’s goodness, we will be attracted to Satan’s offers, and this will undoubtedly lead to pain, devastation, and eventually destruction.

Beloved, everything good in this world comes from God. God is ready to give us “only good gifts.” What are you working on currently? Maybe seeking a good-paying job, a wife/husband, working on a degree, children, investment plans, etc. What are your desires? Are they according to His will (John 14:13-14)?

Whatever it is, first, ask yourself, is it from God? Let me assure you—It is not good if it did not come from God (outside His will). But if it comes from God, it must be good, even if you do not immediately see the goodness in it.

Application: Pray, be patient, and watch God work out the best of the best in your life. You will never regret it. Blessings!
