January 21, 2021 in Today's Prayer by TGV

Prayer Guide/ Ezekiel 30/ January 21, 2021/ 26-BSG-30B, (Ezekiel 30:1-26)/ Theme: God’s Judgment on Egypt; Hymn: The Judgment Has Set (SDAH 416)

Ezekiel 30:22–24 (NKJV) — 22 Therefore thus says the Lord God: ‘Surely I am against Pharaoh king of Egypt, and will break his arms, both the strong one and the one that was broken; and I will make the sword fall out of his hand. 23 I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations, and disperse them throughout the countries. 24 I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon and put My sword in his hand; but I will break Pharaoh’s arms, and he will groan before him with the groanings of a mortally wounded man.

Important Phrase: “Then they shall know that I am the LORD.” (Ezek. 30:8, 19, 25, 26).

Opening Remarks: Time and again, God gave these nations warning, yet they refused to repent, know Him and acknowledge Him as the Sovereign of Heaven and Earth. What was the results? devastation and total ruin. In like manner, God desire that we come to Him and be saved! He wants to bless us! He wants to have a personal relationship with us – to be our God and to be His people! Enoch walked with God every day. We too can—by obeying His commands and communing with Him in prayer!

Values to Build On: Confession of Sin; Devotion to/ Respect for God; genuine Repentance; Proclaiming the coming Day of the LORD!

Sins to Avoid/ Confess: Pride (Ezek. 30:6); Failure to acknowledge (admit) that Yahweh is greater than any earthly power, and that He is the Sovereign Ruler of the Universe (Ezek. 30:8, 19, 25, 26); Paying homage to idols, images, etc. (Ezek. 3013).

Something to Thank God For: 1. He sends a series of Warnings before Judgment/ 2. He humbles the Proud: Pharaoh’s arms will be broken, and his people scattered, (Ezek. 30:20–26)/ 3. He has (prepared) set a day in which He will judge the world’s people with fairness (Acts 17:31)/ 4. He will bring an end to sin and restore holiness and righteousness forever/ 5. Jesus Christ is the Might Conqueror! We who follows Him are “more than conquerors and gain an overwhelming victory through Him who loved us [so much that He died for us]” (Rom 8:37, AMP).

People to Pray For: Rebellious Pharaoh, king of Egypt (cf. Ezek. 29:2-3) — Pray for all humanity to acknowledge and revere God as the Sovereign Ruler of the Universe.

Issues to Pray For: Idolatry, God’s mercy amid Judgment, Victory over Pride, preparation for the Day of Yahweh.

Specific Need: Funds to build the TGV Academy, Church, Broadcasting Unit, and Health Care Center.

Today’s Promise: “Nevertheless in Your great mercy You did not utterly consume them nor forsake them; For You are God, gracious and merciful.” (Nehemiah 9:31, NKJV)

CLOSING PRAYER.

Bible Study Guide/ Closing Prayer/ Ezekiel 30, (26-BSG-30Z)/ January 21, 2021/ Is there a prayer for me to pray/echo in this chapter?  Yes.

Prayer: Father, we thank You for Your Word in Ezekiel 30. We thank You for the gift of life; for another chance to hear the Gospel and make necessary changes in our lives.

Father, we saw a list of Specific Sins in this chapter — Pride (Ezek. 30:6); Failure to acknowledge (admit) that You are greater than any earthly power, and that You alone deserve to be praised and worshipped (Ezek. 30:8, 19, 25, 26); Paying homage to idols, images, etc. (Ezek. 30: 13). We acknowledge these sins, and sincerely ask for pardon, cleansing and victory over those sins. Help us to confess/proclaim that You are “the LORD God,”– Ruler of Heaven and Earth.

We thank You for Your unchanging character – Merciful, Gracious, Longsuffering, abounding in Goodness and Truth, “keeping Mercy for thousands, Forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin.” (Ex. 34:6-7). Be merciful to us dear LORD, and do not punish us for these sins that, time and again, we have foolishly committed against Thee.

We thank You for Your works of Judgment. May Thy Spirit help us to remember that the Judgment is in session right now; that “it begins with God’s household” —that is us! (1 Pet. 4:17); And that we ought to be ready now, before the door of mercy closes and the wrath of God fall “upon the sons of disobedience” (Eph. 5:6).

We thank You for daily blessings; for Gifts and Promises of Gifts – Yes, for the coming “Day of the LORD!” Help us not to be afraid of this Day, instead be on the expectant mode: watching and praying, living consecrated -holy lives – (holy conduct, behaviors, and godliness); displaying profound reverence toward our awesome God; while we earnestly look for and await the coming of the Day of the LORD – when the heavens will be destroyed by burning, and the (material) elements will melt with intense heat! (2 Pet. 3:11–12)

Father, may You help us meet our needs – (physical & spiritual). Father, we plead for resources to build a Station, a Campus, a School that will be called after Your Name. It is my earnest desire to see these Study Guides in print some day and be broadcasted live on Radio/ Television, so that Your people may read, listen, hear the Gospel, and be saved. May You grant this request according to Your will.

Father, we also intercede for the needs of others: many are weeping; many are crying; many have lost loved ones; many are jobless; many are still dying of COVID-19 and other illness; many have lost Hope—Have mercy dear LORD!

May Thy Spirit teach us to obey Your will, Commands, and Instructions. Forgive us dear LORD, sanctify us, and prepare us for Thy kingdom. We thank You Father, and ask these things, believing and trusting in the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

MEDITATION: “The Judgment Has Set” (SDAH 416).

1
The judgment has set, the books have been opened;
How shall we stand in that great day,
When every thought, and word, and action,
God, the righteous Judge, shall weigh?

Refrain
How shall we stand in that great day?
How shall we stand in that great day?
Shall we be found before Him wanting?
Or with our sins all washed away?

2
The work is begun with those who are sleeping,
Soon will the living here be tried,
Out of the books of God’s remembrance,
His decision to abide.

3
O, how shall we stand that moment of searching,
When all our sins those books reveal?
When from that court, each case decided,
Shall be granted no appeal?
