4-BSG-14A: WORSHIP GUIDE
Numbers 14: Worship Guide/ 4-BSG-14A, (Numbers 14)/ Today’s Focus: Trusting God’s Word Over Fear and Rebellion
Call to Worship: “Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts” (Hebrews 3:15). God calls us to worship Him in faith, not in rebellion or fear.
Key Text: “Only do not rebel against the LORD. And do not be afraid of the people of the land, because we will devour them. Their protection is gone, but the LORD is with us. Do not be afraid of them.” (Numbers 14:9).
Opening Hymn: “Tis So Sweet to Trust in Jesus” — Louisa M. R. Stead (1882). A hymn of faith, trust, and surrender.
Adoration & Praise:
Praise God for His faithfulness even when His people doubt.
Exalt Him as the God who keeps His promises, leads us through wildernesses, and gives us the victory.
Confession
Confess unbelief, fear, and rebellion like Israel at Kadesh-barnea.
Acknowledge times we resisted God’s Word or longed to turn back instead of moving forward in faith.
Thanksgiving
Thank God for His mercy when we falter
Thank Him for His abiding presence and for raising leaders like Caleb and Joshua who point us to faith.
Thank Him for the promise of forgiveness through Christ, our Mediator (1 John 1:9).
Intercession & Supplication
Pray for the church to be a people of faith and not fear.
Pray for leaders to echo God’s voice courageously like Caleb and Joshua
Pray for strength to face “giants” of life with trust in God.
Pray for mercy for those walking in rebellion, that they may repent and return.
Today’s Commitment: “Lord, I choose to trust Your Word over fear, follow Your promises instead of my doubts, and walk forward in obedience even when the journey looks hard.”
Benediction: “The LORD bless you and keep you; the LORD make His face shine on you and be gracious to you; the LORD turn His face toward you and give you peace.” (Numbers 6:24–26). Go forward in faith, for the LORD is with you.
